Update Timeline (kinda)
Ok, so I've been kinda quiet on this project lately, for kinda too long, but an update, kinda:
The project has been on an accidental hiatus while I finish up some other projects and is actually mid-way through a major update. Some things may change a bunch, which is to be expected from a Beta, I suppose.
If I remember correctly, I'd just finished updating the blender export script with a bunch of new features. These include:
- Shape Keys/Blend Shapes (essential for inexpensive but nice looking facial animation and others)
- Multiple UV Layer Support
- Complete re-format of the animation system, to allow animated property support and pre-defined curve support
I finished the import process for some of these features, but the animation system is in the middle of a re-write. I'm also thinking of updating many things to use structs.
In order to get back to this project, I just need to finish up two other projects:
- Release the graphic design software I just finished writing
- Fix and update Too Many Birds
Once these two tasks are done, I will be directing my focus back to this project - there's no real way around it, since the project I want to do right after heavily depends on the Model Kit.
My ETA on finishing these tasks is < 2 months, so hopefully I'll be back on this soon!
